APPLICATION

Oregan's DLNA Technology Component module enables sharing of broadcast services, commercial VOD and personal media over UPnP networks.

The module is a fast-track solution for manufacturers of IP-connected TVs, Set Top Boxes, Personal Video Recorders, Portable Media Players, Wi-Fi handsets and Network Attached Storage devices - who wish to integrate home network interoperability standards prescribed by the DLNA organisation.

The UPnP AV framework represents the core of the Architecture & Protocols volume within DLNA Networked Device Interoperability Guidelines, and facilitates the local streaming of personal photos and home videos, as well as encrypted music and movies from either a Windows PC or an embedded media server. The module consists of two architectural components: a UPnP media server and UPnP media client stack with integrated Control Point.

Oregan's DLNA Player is interoperable with Windows Media Connect and other popular PC media management applications for PC connectivity.

DLNA Player Features
  • Automatic discovery of multiple media servers and available content.

  • Multiple audio and video codec support, dependant on hardware platform with rewind and fast-forward trickmodes.
  • Slideshows with music, zoom, and rotation.
  • Supporting Powerline, Wired Ethernet or Wireless networks, with automatic site survey and WEP/WPA encryption.
  • Playlists in M3U / ASX / WAX formats.
  • Display of metadata associated with media files, including ID3 tags and metadata from Gracenote or All Media Guide (AMG).
  • Windows® Media Connect and Microsoft DRM-10 support for PlaysForSure networked product compliancy.
 DLNA Server Features
  • Oregan's DLNA Technology Component server software is a portable implementation of UPnP AV standards.
  • Quick install and set-up application gets home network entertainment up an running in minutes.
  • Web based settings manager enables configuration of networked media clients remotely via the PC.
  • Optional: Real-time transcoding service enables playback of media formats, not supported natively by the CE media client.
  • Optional: Real-time transrating service dynamically controls video bitrate for Quality of Service (QoS) and enables multiple video streams to be maintained over a wireless network.
